Class Action: Frank Tremblay v. Raymond-Marie Lavoie et al

Petitioner, Frank Tremblay, has instituted in the Superior Court of Montreal a Motion for authorization to institute a class action against Raymond-Marie Lavoie, the Collège Saint-Alphonse (formally known as Séminaire Saint-Alphonse) and the Congrégation du Très-Saint-Rédempteur.

The group that Mr. Tremblay aims to represent, in the eventuality that the authorization is granted, is the following (free translation): «All persons who have been physically and/or sexually abused by any priest member of the Congrégation du Très-Saint-Rédempteur while they were students at the Séminaire Saint-Alphonse (now known as the Collège Saint-Alphonse). »

The audition of the Motion seeking authorization to institute a class action should be taking place shortly.
